Canadian Association for Theatre Research (CATR)

The Canadian Association for Theatre Research is a non-profit organization founded in 1976 to support and encourage research in theatre and performance studies in Canada, with a special interest in Canadian work. Our membership includes scholars, students, and theatre professionals from around the world who are leading developments in our field. CATR/ACRT membership is a great way to stay connected to Canada’s theatre community. Our members are eligible to participate in our yearly conference, vote in our annual executive elections and they also receive subscriptions to Theatre Research in Canada and our informative electronic newsletter (which includes tons of CFPs!).

Existing members (from 2010 to 2014):  You will need to reset your password the first time that you login to Forum.

Donations

Happy 40th CATR/ACRT! Celebrate by Giving!

In honour of CATR/ACRT’s 40th anniversary (1976-2016), we’re launching a special campaign to raise funds to support the association’s emerging scholars. Your contribution here and now, as you renew your membership for the coming year, will go towards funding travel grants, scholarships, research awards, and conference subsidies for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, sessional instructors, and underemployed scholars/artists.

We’re setting a goal of $10,000 for this campaign because we believe that the future of this association is worth such an investment...and more. Please give today – for the future!
